This activity is based on Maurice Sendak's storybook "Where the Wild Things Are"and is aimed at Stage 1 students. The activity can be shown to students before the book is read to the class. This way students are able to think of verbs, adjectives and nouns to complete the activity, which aren't necessarily the same words used in the book. Scaffolding is provided through the use of images and a cloze passage structure.
